Welcome to 610 Bar & Grill

The 610 Squadron was a RAF Squadron from Chester that was transferred to the Hooton Airfield to train for The II World War utilizing Meteor jets, Hurricanes and Spitfires. They served bravely and fought in The Battle of Britain losing 92 lives.

610 Bar & Grill is a tribute to the brave members of the 610 and a ‘thank you’ for their dedicated service.

The Woodcote Hotel  and 610 Bar & Grill is a privately-owned country house hotel situated in its own grounds in the small village of Hooton on the South Wirral and Cheshire border.

We are open 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner.

We have a beautiful dog friendly walled garden, including a large terrace with comfortable seating for you to enjoy along with a lit, covered outdoor seating area.

Expect delicious seasonal dishes and hearty pub classics, with a focus on locally sourced fresh ingredients.

Behind the bar you’ll find plenty of award-winning lager, ales and cider, a wide range of gin, wine, Prosecco and our recently introduced cocktails.

“Like the original 610 Squadron, this place is really taking off and deservedly so.  Full marks! Highly recommended.”
